Aaloo Katori Chaat

When you crave for chaat and you can’t go out, this craving takes you to make Aaloo katori chaat at home.

It is fun in making this Aaloo katori. Easy and magical. One should try it.

Ingredients

4 potatoes

4-5tbsp all purpose flour /maida

Oil for frying

Water for washing potatoes

For filling the katori :-

1tbsp chopped onions

1tbsp chopped green chillies

2tbsp boiled black chickpeas

1tbsp roasted peanuts

2tbsp boiled corns

4tbsp curd

2tbsp meethi chutney

2tbsp green chutney

Salt and red chilli powder as per your taste

Recipe

First ,peel all the potatoes and wash them. Now grate them to thicker ones. Now Wash them with water so that all its starch will be removed.

Now drain it by using a sieve. And take them in to a bowl and add Maida. Mix them.

Now put oil in pan. Take two sieves so that one fits in with the other. Now take one sieve which is large and put the mixture into it. With the help of spoon, shape it like a katori.

And place the other sieve on it so that it locks the other sieve. Put this in pan. Cook it from all corners. Take then out and with the help of knife take that katori out and again put it in oil for cooking from the inside.

Take it out. And make other katoris like this.

For chaat place the katoris in the serving dish and add fillings one by one or you can mix all together and then add. Put curd and chutneys and sprinkle salt and red chilli powder and serve.

It’s time to MOMOS.. 🤩

Easy recipe to enjoy with family and friends.

Ingredients

For dough –

1 cup All purpose flour /maida

1tbsp salt

1 tbsp oil

Water as required

For filling –

1 small cup chopped onion

1 small cup chopped capsicum

1 small cup chopped carrots

1 small cup chopped spring onions

2 tbsp chopped garlic

black pepper as per your taste

Oil

Recipe

First mix flour, salt and oil together. And add water slowly slowly till the flour kneaded properly into a dough.

Make sure that the dough is not thick and it should be soft. Pat some oil on the dough and cover it. Keep aside the dough for 30-35min.

Now for filling, put little bit oil in a pan and add garlic first.

Stir till transparent and then add onions. Stir till onions become transparent. Now add all chopped vegetables and cook them by stirring together. Don’t cover it.

Now when vegetables cooked properly ,add pinch of pepper into it. Now take the pan off.

Add salt only when mixture gets cooled to room temperature.

Now after 30min, knead the dough for 2-3min more. Now make small balls and roll the ball one by one.

Make small circles of the balls and fill the filling into it. Now pat little bit of water on the circumference of the small circle and starts rolling by keeping one folds inwards.

After folding one complete circle, close the knot and dab it to take the form of Momos.

Make Momos of the rest of the dough like this way.

Now put the cooker, add water into it and use your Idli stand or you can use steamer also. Grease the stand with oil and place Momos and put them in cooker and cover the lid.

After 15-20min, Momos will get ready. You can check in between also.

And serve it with red chilli Chukh.

Nood-Nood-Noodles

Noodles -the all time favorite Chinese food. The Chinese food lovers roam here and there for good Chinese food to eat. For all Chinese lovers like me, you can try this at home and make your taste buds more spicy and more chinks..

Ingredients (serves 4)

3cups Boiled Noodles

1 chopped onion

1 sliced capsicum

1/2 grated cabbage

1 bowl chopped spring onions

1bowl grated carrots

1 tspn fennel seeds (Saunf)

1tspn carom seeds(ajwain)

1 tspn mustard seeds(rai)

1 tbsp chilli flakes

2 tbsp oil

1tbsp salt

1tspn pepper

1tspn white vinegar

Recipe

Put oil in a pan and heat it. Add carom seeds, fennel seeds and mustard seeds and after 8-10sec add onions and stir for 2min. Now add spring onions and cabbage to cook a little bit. Now add capsicum and carrots and cook it well. Now add spices and salt after 5-8min till all vegetables cook properly. Now add boiled noodles and vinegar and stir it well. And serve it hot.

Easy to make starter. It adds spice to your dinner. Yummy for corn lovers. Good to taste and healthy to body. 

Ingredients

Corns 1bowl

Peanuts 1small bowl

Onion chopped 2tablespoon 

Ginger chopped 1tablespoon 

Green chilli chopped 1tablespoon

Carrot chopped 2-3tablespoon 

Black pepper and salt to taste

Oil 1tablespoon

Recipe 

First boil the corns properly and stain it well. Roast the peanuts. Now take a pan and put some oil in it. Add carrots to it first and saute them a little bit. Now add corns to it. And saute it . Now add onions,ginger,green chilli and again saute them nicely. Now add pepper and salt to your taste. And its ready to serve. 👍 .

Malai chicken lolly 

Non-vegetarians !!!! This is a heaven to the starters.. Juicy,soft and mouth-watering dish. This is an easiest and a quick starters for non-vegetarians. One who will eat this will loved it. Especially for the children who prefer non-spicy dishes. 

Ingredients

1 Chicken legs (as per servings) 

 1/2 small cup fresh cream

2tablespoon ghee

A pinch of salt and pepper

1/2 cup Water 

Recipe

Put ghee in a non-stick pan. Add chicken legs and toss it till light golden colour or till it becomes little bit cooked. Then add fresh cream and stir it. Then add salt & pepper . And stir it and cover it upto 1-2 min. Then add little water if required. Now after stirring , cover it and let it cook fully so that flavours of cream will go inside. Check in between. And after 4-5min its ready to serve.

( if you want to add more flavours you can add garlic and ginger paste in the ghee and then add chicken and repeat further .)
